Fund Drive

When you are faced with an emergency situation and dial 911, the members of the Charlton Volunteer Fire Department are ready to come to your aid 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We not only provide fire suppression, but also assistance with medical emergencies, weather related situations and motor vehicle accidents.

We would like to thank you for your support over the years. This is our 90th year of service to our community. This year we are going door to door to ask for your support. We feel this will aid residents in getting to know their local firefighters.

The donations you provide us on our annual fund drive assist us in serving our community in many ways. Unlike other neighboring volunteer fire districts, the Charlton Volunteer Fire Department recieved no compensation from fire district revenues. We spend many hours volunteering to serve our community and do so because of our desire to serve, the value of the training received and for the camaraderie such an organization fosters. Our main objective is to keep our community safe from harm. As volunteers firefighters and emergency medical technicians, we proudly perform these services.

Your donations have been gracious in the past and we continue to need your support. The distribution of your donations supports the following community activities, in addition to supplying dress uniforms for new members, meeting furnishings and kitchen supplies.

Founder’s Day
Halloween and Christmas Parties for children in the community
Fire Prevention at Charlton Heights Elementary School
Various monetary donations to support local sports, organizations and charities
